BOUGAINVILLEA ‘Orange Ice’

As bright and beautiful as the country of Thailand, from which this bougainvillea hybrid originates, Bougainvillea ‘Orange Ice’ bears profusions of deep orange coloured bracts set against its variegated foliage. Like all bougainvilleas it prefers fertile, well-drained soil in full light, and in this instance its ideal home is a container. Growing between two and four feet tall, its long thin stems can be trained up a trellis. It also looks beautiful in a hanging basket with its stems, tipped with the showy flowers, left to trail. With the correct care in the right environment it will bloom almost all year round.
