The stunning “Crimson Red” variety of Bougainvillea is characterised by its prolific heads of bracts in a distinctive bright pinkish-red shade. The blooms are offset by thick emerald green foliage, with thorny stems.
This gorgeous bougainvillea is a climber which requires a support, or can cascade across an arbour. It makes a wonderful show against a wall in summertime. Like all bougainvillea it is drought tolerant and happiest in full sun – needs to be kept frost free over the winter in the UK, with a minimum night temperature of 10°C (50°F).
